You Have Nothing to Prove
At some point, you have to be honest with yourself. Why are you still over-giving, over-explaining, and over-performing just to be accepted, understood or liked?
Not everyone is going to like you. And that’s okay.
People will always see you through their own lens — their own experiences, their own insecurities, their own stories.
And that’s not your problem to fix or to carry.
The truth is, no one can really affect you unless a part of you believes what they’re saying might be true.
Thats where your real work begins, within yourself.
But while you’re busy showing up for everyone else… are you actually showing up for yourself? You support people, you help them build their lives, you’re there when they need you — but what about your life? What about your needs, and your dreams?
There comes a point where you have to stop accepting less than you deserve.
Stop tolerating negativity.
Stop shrinking just to keep the peace.
Choose yourself. Not in a selfish way — in an honest way. In a way that says your time, your energy, your happiness actually matters too.
Because at the end of the day, you deserve the same love, support, and care that you so freely give to everyone else.
So ask yourself honestly… where in your life are you still trying to prove something — and what would change if you finally chose yourself instead?
So make your happiness a priority. Make your peace non-negotiable.
Because choosing yourself…
is not selfish.
It’s one of the purest forms of love there is
